We took the entire family on a vacation to Greece in 2011. Original plans also called for a visit to Egypt to start out our trip, but world politics eventually caused us to cancel that portion of the trip. We were able to add the time on to the back end of the Greece portion of the trip, which then consisted of visits to Athens at the start and end of the trip, with trips to three separate Greek islands in between. We also took a day excursion from Mykonos to Delos, an island with a rich history but no permanent human habitation.
It was a fun trip, with good weather, fun sights, decent food, but cold water (not much swimming was done), and we survived the long flight home intact (except for some very persistent jet lag...)
