Obligatory (Bad) People/Vehicle Picture
So here you go, the only image in the set where you will see people or vehicles. A terrible shot, with Brian cut off, only Mike's shoes showing, Dales disembodied legs, and Alex's back facing the camera. Yeesh. Well, that was the level of work I put into the shot, in all truthfulness. But there ya go Brian :)
Easy Trail
The trail heads down momentarily, with the amazing wall of trees showing to the right and the uncertain weather ahead, as the mountains poke through in the distance.
Amazing Wall of Trees #1
The muted light really brings out the colors of the myriad of trees that come down the slopes in this area.
Small Stand
A small stand of Aspen displays some vibrant color.
Amazing Wall of Trees #2
Another view of the never-ending Aspen covered slopes along this part of the trail.
A Slice of Orange
A small orange section of trees highlights the view in this area.
Leaning Tree
This smaller tree leans out over the trail with some special color to display. Is that a little blue sky popping out?!?
Bowl of Color
The now clearing skies accentuate the yellow patches of Aspen that seem to be in virtually every direction.
Let's Stop For Lunch...
...and oh, by the way, how is this for a lunch time vantage point?
Golden Dell
A detail shot of an open patch between competing stands of Aspen and Evergreen trees.
What Weather?
The day has rounded out to absolutely beautiful, with gorgeous views fading into the distance. No indication of the clouding drizzle that came before or the even worse weather to come (but only AFTER we are down the trail!!!)
Golden Pathway #1
Now we get to drive right through a stand of trees.
Golden Pathway #2
Another shot deep inside this stand of Aspen.
View from the Top
While being in the trees is great, I still love those views from above treeline, even if there are not Aspen to colorize the image.
