Our first destination on our Europe trip, and probably my overall favorite. Rome just by itself has so many fascinating places to visit, that we could have spent more time there. Don't try to get a decent pizza, but otherwise, the food is not too bad.

Old Building
A non-descript building in Florence catches the sun, and catches my eye...
Pilgrim waystation
A pilgrim waystation dating from the 1300s, right next to our hotel. The Rome skyline was an interesting mix of the old and the new, usually all intermixed together.
Lighted Dome
The famous dome of the Roman Pantheon captures and shapes a beam of light. This building was one of my very favorites we visited on the entire trip.
