North Carolina, October, 2022

A mid October trip back east to North Carolina to visit friends turned into a wonderful experience as the fall color was in full display at some of the higher elevations. A trip through Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, a hike through the woods, and even a trip to go fly fishing made this an absolutely magical vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed catching up with our friends in such a beautiful location!!

What a Thrill!
On the last day of our trip I traded in my camera for a fly rod to go out an enjoy the experience of fly fishing. Thanks to some expert instruction from my patient friend I even managed to catch a fish on my 1st time out fly fishing in ~60 years! Amazing! I was able to record the moment on my cell phone before we released the fish back into the water.
