WY Drone Trip, April 2021

Another day trip out with close friends to try out our drone flying skills. The weather started out very windy and overcast, but by the time we were at our second location the winds had died down and we had a few moments of sun poking out of the cloud deck. These are my favorites from the day, 2 versions of a drone image followed by a telephoto closeup of an interesting section of the big stone formation we were flying around.

A drone view of one of numerous giant rock formations seemingly jutting at random out of the barren landscape in this part of rural Wyoming.

Rock 'Study'
A pseudo macro closeup detail of the huge rock outcropping we were flying around. Loving the detail from the RF 100-500, shot at 500mm, f/7.1 (wide open) at ISO 400, handheld (propped on a rock).
