We stopped here on the way back down Trail Ridge. I really like this view, and the clouds were really going crazy. I was still set on bracketing and took a few images here. I really liked the composition on this one, with that cloud bank rolling down the hillside. By now the sun was not having much direct effect on the landscape, and I just could not get a natural looking result out of anything I processed. Sometimes I just can't convert what I saw to something I like. This was one of those times. Perhaps in retrospect this is a case where using a split ND filter would have been worth the trouble. Or maybe more likely, the light just was not right to get the type of shot I was after...
